Difficult experiences can leave the body on high alert—racing heart, tight chest, jumpiness, looping memories. With EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), we bring a sensation or moment to mind while tapping specific points to calm the nervous system. This helps ‘turn down’ the brain’s alarm (amygdala) so the body learns that the present is safe.
We’ll go gently at your pace. You don’t need perfect words or to retell details—we can work with sensations, metaphors, or even use silent tapping. You’re in control at every step, and we can pause or slow down anytime.
When needed, we’ll use gentle techniques to approach memories indirectly (e.g., ‘sneaking up,’ ‘tearless trauma,’ the ‘movie technique,’ or tracking a body sensation). This keeps you safe, steady, and within your comfort zone the whole time.
