Terms and conditions

Last updated: 29 September 2026

These terms cover the free call and the three-session program offered by James Lancastle, trading as The Tapping Journey ("I", "me"). By booking a free call or a session, you agree to them. My privacy policy is further down this page.

1. The service

The sessions are a professional development service for presenting and public speaking. They use EFT, often called tapping. They are not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional about your personal circumstances.

2. The free call

The free call is 30 minutes on Zoom. It's to see whether the three-session program is right for you. There's no charge and no obligation to book.

3. The program and payment

The program is three 90-minute sessions on Zoom, usually about a week apart. The price is shown on the website when you book and may change over time. The price you agreed when you booked is the price you pay. Payment is taken in full before session one, usually through a secure payment link I send after the free call. Completing payment, by card or bank transfer, means you accept these terms.

4. The refund

If session one isn't right for you, sessions two and three are refunded in full. You don't need to give a reason. Just tell me after session one and before session two. Refunds go back to the original payment method.

5. Cancelling and rescheduling

You can reschedule a session once, with at least 24 hours' notice. A session cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed without notice, counts as used, because that time was set aside for you. If I ever need to move a session, I'll give you as much notice as I can and offer another time.

6. Confidentiality

Sessions are one-on-one and private. I don't share what you tell me with anyone, including your employer, even if your company pays. The only exceptions are if I believe someone is at serious risk of harm, or if the law requires it.

7. Your part

I provide the sessions and the method. How you use them at work is up to you, and you're responsible for your own professional decisions.

8. Results

Results vary from person to person. I don't guarantee any particular career, performance or financial outcome. In line with my professional insurance (section 5.39), I give no guarantees or warranties about specific outcomes. The refund in section 4 is separate from this and still applies.

9. Age

By booking, you confirm you're 18 or over.

10. Changes and law

I may update these terms. The version that applies is the one on this page when you book. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

Privacy policy

Last updated: 29 September 2026

This explains what personal information I collect, why, and what you can ask me to do with it. I follow UK data protection law (UK GDPR) for everyone, wherever you live.

Who I am

James Lancastle, trading as The Tapping Journey, is responsible for your information. Contact: james.eft.help@gmail.com

What I collect

  • Booking details: your name, email address and phone number when you book a call or session.

  • What you tell me: what you share on the free call and in sessions, and my session notes.

  • Messages: anything you send me by email or WhatsApp.

  • Payment details: handled by the payment provider. I see that you've paid, not your full card number.

  • Website use: pages visited, device and browser type and similar information, collected through cookies and similar technology (see below).

Why I use it

  • To arrange and run your free call and sessions, and send confirmations and reminders.

  • To take payment and keep the business records the law requires.

  • To answer your messages.

  • To understand how the website and my adverts perform, so I can improve them.

I use your information because it's needed to provide the service you asked for, because the law requires some records, and, for website measurement, because I have a legitimate interest in knowing what works, or with your consent where that's required.

Who I share it with

I never sell your information. I only share it with the services I use to run the business:

  • Squarespace, for the website and site analytics

  • Acuity Scheduling, for bookings

  • Zoom, for calls and sessions

  • Stripe, for payments

  • Google, for email and secure storage of notes

  • Meta, to measure how my adverts perform

  • WhatsApp, if you choose to message me there

Some of these providers store information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, they use recognized safeguards to protect it.

Cookies and the Meta pixel

The website uses cookies so it works properly and so I can see how people use it. It also uses the Meta pixel, which tells Meta when someone who saw one of my adverts visits the site or books a call. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also control ad settings in your Facebook or Instagram account.

How long I keep it

I keep contact details and session notes for up to two years after our last session, then delete them. I keep payment and invoice records for six years, as UK tax law requires.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information I hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop me using it for a particular purpose. Email james.eft.help@gmail.com and I'll reply within one month. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If I change this policy, I'll update it here and change the date at the top.
